At Kinlochlaich

  • We have our own water supply from a burn off the hill.
  • There is information in every property on where to buy local food.
  • We grow our own vegetables which are available for you to buy in season.
  • There is loads of space for children (& adults) to play, including swings and other outdoor toys, tennis court and table tennis.
  • You can hire bicycles or a boat, go ponytrekking or take a guided hill walk – all from the village.
  • Heating and lighting ( nearly all bulbs are now low wattage) is from electricity (including off peak and green tariff), wood burning (some properties) and oil boiler (we are researching the best replacement for this).
  • We have a wildlife checklist for you to add to. It already includes pine marten, sea eagles (can often be spotted from here as we have a nesting pair in our local glen behind the gardens), goldcrests and white ermine moths!
  • Rubbish is recycled as much as possible. We separate paper, glass, plastic bottles, tins and make our own compost.
  • We have a septic tank and therefore only use eco-friendly cleaning products.
