The Tree House

Unique octagonal eco building

Have you ever dreamt of building or living in a treehouse?

We decided to realise our dream and create an original and beautiful building. It sits amongst the trees in the old orchard, perched off the ground overlooking a woodland burn, with an oak tree trunk in its centre!

The Tree House is designed for an extra special totally original self catering holiday. Ideal for a romantic honeymoon.

The Building

The treehouse is built from Scottish timber and lots of Highland oak - not only in the tree but also in the floors and doors. The outside has a traditional lime render and the roof is covered with old Ballachulish slate. Arched windows complement the main 18th century Kinlochlaich House. The Tree House is very cosy, well insulated with Warmcell (shredded newspaper),  and has a wood burning stove, as well as electic heating. To complete the experience we have used quality furnishings and lovely fabrics.
